About the Founder
Nathan Gasser is a multimedia developer and interactive information
systems designer, with 14 years experience with the Internet and
networked information systems. His areas of expertise include
database-backed websites, content management systems, CRM systems,
search technology and strategy, GIS (Geographic Information Systems)
and technical analysis of website traffic.
Recent projects include content management systems for several schools
within large universities, newsletter and email marketing strategy and
execution for a division of American Express, and a custom CRM system
for an apartment management firm used by over 60 leasing staff in 24
properties, tracking over 35,000 current and potential renters.
Mr. Gasser's past work includes 5 years as the Technical Director of
LibertyNet, where he designed, developed and managed an internet
infrastructure that served over a thousand Philadelphia-area
organizations and companies. The combined LibertyNet web sites were
visited by over half a million individuals per month. He participated
in the development of web sites for PECO Energy, SEPTA, the
Philadelphia Museum of Art, the City of Philadelphia, and many more.
Mr. Gasser holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of
Pennsylvania, with an interest in multimedia development. At Penn he
installed and managed the first web server on campus in 1993 to
support a senior project to produce an interactive, photo and map
based virtual tour of the Penn Campus. He and his project were noted
in a Newsweek Magazine article on the World Wide Web.
As a founding board member and current president of PANMA
(Philadelphia Area New Media Association), Mr. Gasser has served the
Philadelphia region's young technology workers and entrepreneurs by
assisting in the development of periodic networking and educational
events. He is also a current member of the United Way of Southeastern
Pennsylvania's Teaming For Technology advisory board, and the East Goshen Township (PA) Conservancy Board.
